Today I interview Le-an Lai Lacaba, the woman who has called herself The Traveling Pygmy. With a height just below five feet, and her Kindle somewhere in her bag, Le-an Lai Lacaba is someone to watch out for. Especially if she’s reading since she won’t notice a thing.
I sat down with her(me) and miraculously timed is between chapters for a quick interview for her own blog. Get to know her below:
Interviewer: What’s your favorite part about being a writer?
Le-an: It’s honestly terrible. Inspiration pops up at the worst of times, like when you’re about to go to sleep, or even when you’re asleep. One time I woke up at 3am to write a poem and went back to sleep. There’s also the thought that what you’re writing isn’t good enough, but knowing that if you’re not writing you’re not really a writer. A paradox.
But my favorite part? Being able to be my own boss. Not needing to follow a strict set of rules. I can write the oddest things, take responsibility for it, or take it down. And create weird “About me” like this. (winks to the fourth wall)
Interviewer: Interesting. Where in the world would you want to go?
Le-an: New York obviously! Why do you need to even ask that question? I got my US Visa for that place. Now all I need is a good enough reason and you won’t even see my shadow.
Interviewer: What is your favorite book?
Le-an: Favor-favori-favorite book?! How dare you ask me that!? There is no such thing! (Hyperventilates)
Interviewer: I apologize. What is your favorite genre then?
Le-an: Mostly YA and Paranormal Romances. I have book dealer who gives me what I need.
Interviewer: What do you hope for this blog?
Le-an: It’s the place where I can express myself, as well as a place where people can find information. I write book and Airbnb reviews. I write bucket lists of places to go, and my own favorite places. I will also write poems and short stories that I hope people will enjoy.
