F*ck Love by Tarryn Fisher: Book Review Travels

As one of the first books I’ve read this year, F*ck Love definitely helped me start my year right. Since it was a recommended read by my book dealer, I knew I had to dive into the book with no interruptions.

I got an opportunity while on a camping weekend gone bad, where I tried to read to lull my head back to sleep. While my the other campers stayed up all night with their loud music, I stayed up all night reading this amazing book full of feels.

From the short description on Amazon, I would definitely not expect such a whirlwind of emotions:

Helena Conway has fallen in love. Unwillingly. Unwittingly. But not unprovoked. Kit Isley is everything she’s not—unstructured, untethered, and not even a little bit careful. It could all be so beautiful … if he wasn’t dating her best friend. Helena must defy her heart, do the right thing, and think of others. Until she doesn’t.

I read the book from midnight til 3AM, and no matter how many times I wanted to throw my Kindle at my noisy camping neighbors, I couldn’t close the book for more than 10 seconds without trying to find out how it all ended.

Tarryn Fisher kept me awake with all the twists and turns and magical coincidences she weaved into the book that almost every prediction I had was proven wrong with how she made her characters come alive and make difficult choices of their own.

If you need an intense read and not something to keep you up at night, I definitely recommend F*ck Love ♥
